weeks!!
Bianca Mahoney, Music and Dance Instructor:
Bianca Mahoney is 19 years
old and aspires to be a teacher after graduating from the University of
Windsor's Concurrent Education Program. She has many years of experience
with children having volunteered for 7 years at her church in two
different children's ministry classes: Little Blessing ( age 4 -5) and
Nursery 2 ( 9 mos.- 2 yrs.). As an avid music lover, she sings and
dances and is experienced in ballet, jazz, and hip hop. She is an acting
member of the Windsor Christian Fellowship W.E.A.P.O.N.S. Dance team and
is constantly adding moves, songs, and styles to her repertoire of
entertaining skills. She is a friendly and outgoing individual, who
loves to laugh. Bianca wants to share her love of dance and music with
the campers and also have them showcase their talent and abilities!
Robin Stratas, Camp Coordinator:
Robin Stratas is currently attending the University of
Windsor studying Drama in Education and Community with a minor in
Psychology. She has extensive teaching experience and spent the last two
summers as a Zoo Camp Counselor at the Toronto Zoo, teaching children
about animals, habitats and conservation. Robin also volunteers with
Childrens’s Aid Society as a Kids
on the Block Puppeteer, and is the Assistant Coordinator for
Shinerama, a fund raising campaign on campus for Cystic Fibrosis
Research. Robin is a creative, outgoing, passionate individual and she
is excited to spend her summer with Spirit of Excellence, helping both
children and staff achieve their personal best!
Kristi Ducharme, Creative Arts
Instructor:
Kristi Ducharme is a first year nursing student and is
both creative and compassionate. She is very excited to inspire all the
young minds to be creative and enjoy their summer here at Camp Xcellence!
Kristi has worked in nursing homes, a fitness gym and the hospital. Her
artistic abilities are extensive and include photography, acrylic
painting, charcoal sketches and scrap booking. She hopes to one day
become a nurse in a pediatric hospital where she can use art therapy to
make the children feel better. Kristi is also an animal lover with a
Chihuahua named Jake who she loves! We know that Kristi’s creative
talents and her compassionate personality will make her an excellent
Arts Instructor at Camp Xcellence!
Eric Blanchard, Health and Fitness Instructor:
Eric is currently attending the University of Windsor,
majoring in Human Kinetics. He spent two years in China teaching English
as a Second Language to children and youth. He is very physically active
and is a Can- Fit-Pro certified personal trainer and has extensive
experience in a variety of competitive and recreational sports. Eric
loves children and his dedication and hard work paired with his athletic
abilities and nutritional knowledge make him a crucial part of our team!
Charlene Saade, Literacy Instructor:
Charlene has completed her Undergraduate degree,
majoring in Psychology, and is now pursuing Graduate studies in the
Master of Social Work program at the University of Windsor. She has
taught and tutored children for several years and believes that every
child is unique and has the potential to succeed. She is passionate
about helping children achieve their dreams, and in her spare time she
enjoys sports, dance and music. Charlene just loves having fun and is
always willing to get her hands dirty!
Courtney Lyons, Drama Instructor:
Courtney
is currently attending the University of Windsor in the elite BFA Acting
program! She has been acting for over twelve years, and Courtney has
even studied acting at the world renowned Moscow Art Theatre. She has
toured the Rocky Mountain States performing in elementary schools and
community centers for children. Courtney also created and performed in Risk Watch in Action; plays dealing with safety and injury
prevention across Northern Ontario. Courtney aspires to become a stage
actress and her outgoing personality and passion for the art form make
us confident that she’ll make it big!

Julio Bravo-Pallero
Leria Elliott, Finishing School
Assistant
Graduating this year from Century High School, Leria
has completed the Nail Technician program through Kosti Beauty
Institute. She has been volunteering at Spirit of Excellence for
the last year, where she assists Mrs. Kosti and Jacqueline Marchand with
the women's personal improvement program. Leria will be teaching
personal grooming and beauty techniques in the Finishing School
activities of Camp Xcellence '07
