| Information on Promotion in Flag
Levels:
Effective
August
5th, 2006 Information on Promotion and Earning Awards in Flag Levels:
All students begin in Intro Flags unless predetermined through a personal
interview that they have skill and may be placed in an advanced level.
Introduction to Flag Twirling is usually 6—12 weeks.
After the Intro Flag Level the student will know if they enjoy the art of
Flag Twirling and may go on to the Beginner Flag Level.
There is no testing to be promoted into the Beginner Flag Level.
Information on Beginner Flag Level:
Beginner Flag Level is a minimum of 12 weekly classes - usually needing 3
- 4 semesters (one year) of practice and development of these beginner
rudiments and important skills. At
home practice time will be helpful in completing the beginner level
more quickly. Once the
student and their instructor feel they are ready to complete their
syllabus of information, then they can prepare for the Beginner
Assessment. It is not
necessary for all students to do the Assessment if they do not wish
to, or due to their age and skill level need to stay in the Beginner
Level. The student may
continue to perform and be involved in the Flag Company with their
present level of Beginner Flags.
The purpose is to develop ‘their potential’ and their own
level of skill and lifestyle of worship through the flag ministry.
They still may participate in parts of the special events and
performances with flag routines according to their personal level.
Upon completion of the 12 week Beginner Flag Level the student will be
awarded their ‘Flag Twirler’ Gold Pin.

with ribbon
Summer
Camp Xcellence 2005 introduced SOE into the Drouillard Rd. community
with 56 students, and now for 2006 we will launch the Spirit of
Excellence Leaders in Training named SOELIT pilot project. Instead of
loosing a year’s worth of work—we wish to see these students
become strong in their skills and become leaders, peer mentors,
volunteers and instructors here at the centre. So each summer the
SOELIT program will run for 1st year students, and 2nd and 3rd year
students may attend throughout the year and /or summer.
This program will assist students through to their teens. These
are high risk years and will be a good time to keep the principles
instilled. Eligible
students are students who have attended a full
year of SOE programs and are committed to personal growth.
SOELIT

REWARDS ARE IMPORTANT!
Gen 15:1
After all these things, this word of GOD came to Abram in a
vision: "Don't be afraid, Abram. I'm your shield. Your reward
will be grand!"
Abram had just experience a great battle, and
an offer from an evil king, but he chose to trust God and not
compromise His faith. God
then spoke this promise to Abram for his Commitment to stay faithful
to what he knew was right!
I believe that
rewarding the students is very important – it will help them to see
and feel good of the hard work and accomplishments they are doing!
These Awards can be good incentives to stay true to what they
know is right to do when temptations come!
May the Lord continue to complete the good
work He has started in our families and these children!
I am so thankful for this past year at SOE – and look forward
to seeing the fruit grow in the children.
Blessings!
