Spirit
of Excellence, Inc. is a Registered Charitable non-profit Educational
Institute, a Training Center in life skills, leadership, arts, flags/dance and image skills. Training up young
people to develop the attitude of excellence, and thereby become leaders of
influence! SOE purposes to encourage the arts to be a creative discipline
to build character and self esteem, and to use Spirit of Excellence Company
to perform and promote the arts in the community as a means for the
members to build team spirit, presentation skills, and to communicate through their
creative expression.
Both performers and members of the audience and community will build a
greater appreciation for the arts, and come to understand how training in
finishing skills and excellence in character are of great benefit to the
members of SOE Company, their families and the community.
MANDATE:
Spirit of Excellence mandate is to intervene with the
children who are at risk and disadvantaged in our community.
We provide them with the excellence of
training in the arts, music,
basic life skills,
presentation skills, and good character. SOE provides this training of
excellence to families could not afford
it
normally.
Children learn to reach for their dreams, shine like a star....of
excellence....of brightness.....of diversity.....release their
creativity....and help others to become stars....doing the same to others
too! Children are provided a fun, safe environment where
they can practice life skills, etiquette, discover purpose for their life
and learn to share this discovery with others. Improving lives, families and communities through creative disciplines and
practice of life and social skills is the Spirit of Excellence
mandate!
MISSION:
Our
mission is to assist
disadvantaged young people through SOE after school food program, provide
them workout and performance clothing for SOE Company events, concerts and
performances, and training through enrollment in Spirit of Excellence
Training Center. Our mission is to instill in young
people a vision for their life, help them to fulfill their
potentials so they may become successful, motivated and be a valuable part
of their families and communities. They can discover their artistic, dramatic and/or musical
potential by providing the opportunity to be a part of the SOE Company and
go into the community to perform and share the talents they have developed.
The children develop their own leadership skills through helping
newer students learn skills, role modeling, and leading practices.
Through the relational part of the program they learn how to talk
and converse well with one another and with adults.

Spirit
of Excellence programs work
well creating a fun and educational environment for children ages 7 -
12.

Older
youth may become part of our Role Modeling Mentorship
Programs.

The programs enhance personal health, fitness and life skills
as the students participate in Fine Arts, The Finishing Academy, Music &
Drum Core, Dance and Flag Twirling.

The
"Sunshine Juice Bar"
provides a learning center to experience nutritious, fun food and
fellowship.

Lifestyles are improved through practical hands on training using creative
disciplines in the arts,
personal grooming, home skills, setting the table, hospitality, conversation
and lessons in good character.

Improvement
in their personal
presentation,
gaining focus, goal setting and the desire to fulfill their dreams have
been noted improvements in young people's lives.
