The Mission of Spirit of Excellence is to:

~ provide women and their families within the urban community with the resources to explore their full potential

~ physically, economically, and spiritually;

~ and to train them to be successful role models and mentors within their families and give back into their community.

WOMEN IN NEED OF GUIDANCE AND SKILLS PROGRAM

Confidentiality

Spirit of Excellence's Women's program provides a safe environment in which women of any race or persuasion feel free to express their views, discuss their concerns and find answers to the questions their lives pose to them.

Volunteers, staff and participants sign a confidentiality statement prohibiting the discussion of information about clients outside of the organization.

Asking Questions

Spirit of Excellence challenges women with critical questions like, what do I need to get ahead, and how do I go after it?

Living Your Dreams

Many women are looking at becoming someone they were never encouraged to be, were told they never would be, never had the time to be, or told themselves they never could be. Spirit of Excellence WINGS Program is a faith based program designed to encourage women to pursue their dreams while building strong family and community relationships.

Finding Your Direction

If you do not have a clear sense of where you want to go and a plan for getting there, any obstacle or distraction will throw you off track. Some of the obstacles may be internal, like low self-esteem, while others are external, such as troubled relationships. Applying the words of scripture to the 'Circle of Esthers' allows us to always have a heart focused on God, balanced emotions, and the confidence that He is leading us.

Support Network

Spirit of Excellence WINGS Program is built around a strong support network of women who genuinely care about other women and their success. They push you, encourage you, and are willing to offer constructive feedback that will support your growth and development

Program Requirements

An intake is required for all participants.

Attend at least one sister Circle each month.

Financial Strategies:

purchasing a home

saving and investing

car purchase/lease

reading assessment (non H.S. diploma or GED)

Assist at Spirit of Excellence WINGS events (see calendar)

Employment and Education Plan

A customized program for "change" is developed for each woman depending on her specific needs.

Spirit of Excellence WINGS Program centers around the common vision of a community in which each woman has a sense of worth; accepts responsibility for self, family, and community.

Spirit of Excellence's Women's program is free to women who qualify.

This field trip will be a practical exercise (fun) to try out what you have learned with your own Professional Wardrobe & Shopping Consultant - Colleen Kosti
You will be assisted in choosing your best colour and styles for building a wardrobe on a budget & enhancing your figure type

2:00 We will conclude our field trip with coffee/refreshments together and share our day's fun learning experiences

I took the complete total makeover and presentation skills improvement, and speak up with confidence courses from Colleen. Before taking the course I was apprehensive about my ability to communicate effectively. Colleen is able to bring out the best in me with her coaching & constant positive reinforcement - that I can be all that I want to be!

The professional colour analysis was a new experience for me. I used to just buy any colour, but now I take my colour chart with me when I am going shopping, and know for sure which shade is best on me. Colours do make a difference in how I look & feel.

The "Your Ideal Silhouette" was also very helpful to me. It tells me the type of clothes to wear that would fit my size, my height & body proportions. This is very helpful to me because before this course I would buy clothes that I like without knowing what was the best fit and style for me. Also having Colleen accompany me to stores so that she could reinforce the colour and style selection was very helpful and practical. On paper it is just theory but to actually see the clothes made this experience a reality to me.

The digital hair analysis was very different for me. I have never coloured my hair and to see the different shades of colour framing my face was an eye opening experience for me. I will use one of the colour and styles shown when I am ready to colour my hair.

Overall - I would recommend Colleen Kosti's Esthers Modeling & Finishing School, and the WOWW workshops & consultations, as a place where one will feel comfortable and at ease. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and this will bring out the best in you.
