**The Mission of Spirit of Excellence is to:**

~ provide women and their families within the urban community with the resources to explore their full potential

~ physically, economically, and spiritually;

~ and to train them to be successful role models and mentors within their families and give back into their community.

**SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE WOMEN'S PROGRAMS offer hope for getting out of poverty and support to take a step up.**

Confidentiality

Spirit of Excellence's Women's program provides a safe environment in which women of any race or persuasion feel free to express their views, discuss their concerns and find answers to the questions their lives pose to them.

Volunteers, staff and participants sign a confidentiality statement prohibiting the discussion of information about clients outside of the organization.

Living Your Dreams

Many women are looking at becoming someone they were never encouraged to be, were told they never would be, never had the time to be, or told themselves they never could be. Spirit of Excellence WINGS Program is a faith based program designed to encourage women to pursue their dreams while building strong family and community relationships.

Finding Your Direction

If you do not have a clear sense of where you want to go and a plan for getting there, any obstacle or distraction will throw you off track. Some of the obstacles may be internal, like low self-esteem, while others are external, such as troubled relationships. Applying the words of scripture to the 'Circle of Esthers' allows us to always have a heart focused on God, balanced emotions, and the confidence that He is leading us.

Support Network

Spirit of Excellence Women's Program is built around a strong support network of women who genuinely care about other women and their success. They push you, encourage you, and are willing to offer constructive feedback that will support your growth and development

Program Requirements

An intake is required for all participants.

Attend at least one sister Circle support group each month.

**Financial Strategies:**

purchasing a home

saving and investing

car purchase/lease

reading assessment (non H.S. diploma or GED)

Assist at Spirit of Excellence Queen Esther's Women's Life Development events (see calendar)

Employment and Education Plan

A customized program for "change" is developed for each woman depending on her specific needs.

Spirit of Excellence Women's Program centers around the common vision of a community in which each woman has a sense of worth; accepts responsibility for self, family, and community.

Spirit of Excellence's Women's program is free to women who qualify.

Begins again April 9th!
- please phone to register and share personal needs and baby, or children items needed. SOE also has women's business wear clothing bank open during this group.
- sponsored by Sun Parlour Pregnancy Resource Centre

Queen Esther's Women's Life Development program will be launched soon - date to be announced!
~ with four weeks of special events for Women in Need of Guidance & Skills.
~ two days each week, Wednesdays and Fridays will be offered to develop physical fitness, health & nutrition awareness, Inner Beauty, Self Esteem, Life Skills and Image/Wardrobe Skills
~ The QE Wardrobe Room will be open for free garments and instruction in building a working wardrobe on a budget.
*** donations welcome of gently used, cleaned business wear, shoes and winter wear only
~ support and mentorship accountability required for involvement in this beneficial life changing program. Monitored by Executive Director, ordained minister, and Social Workers, Addictions Counselor and support mentors.
