Tuition Summary:

 Classes are offered free to those of low income.  Ontario Works, social assistance recipients and NCBS family recipients receive ** 90% paid tuition, plus ** $100 towards uniform supplies.  Check stub or child tax NCBS July statement needed to qualify this assistance.
All children, youth and women in need are given training and assistance. 

** these are estimated funds available from previous contracts - not guaranteed as funding is by contract and have limits on amount of funding.  Funding as mentioned above may not be available - on a first come basis.  Please contact office for application and details.

(Note:  We will try to accept all students, regardless of financial status, race or ability to pay or not to pay.  Parents involvement with fund raising is asked.  Compliance with school policies, dress code and respectful behaviour is required of all students.)

Regular Donations are asked for Tuition 
 Creative Arts/Flag/Tambourine/Dance Classes - may be paid four different ways: 

  • One Time Registration fee:  $ 25. 
  • Checks are payable to Spirit of Excellence
  • Returned checks are subject to $35 NSF charge  
  1. Monthly enrollment:  Post dated checks must be given upon enrollment for the school year to pay monthly.  Post dated un-cashed checks may be returned, if student cancels enrollment.  Cancellation request must be in writing at least one week notice.  
  2. Semester enrollment: 12 week of classes prepaid receives a discounted package price.  
  3. Assistance for low income families may be provided for families on NCBS (National Child Benefit Supplement).  90% of tuition is paid, and $100 provided for uniform supplies.   Provide stub with NCBS or proof of recipient of NCBS upon enrollment. Student enrolling must be under the age of 18 to qualify.
  4. Scholarship fund:  Donations from individuals may be made to S.O.E. to give out to applicants who qualify to receive financial assistance to attend. Board of Directors receives applications and recommendations for Scholarship applicants.   

1)  Monthly tuition for ONE CLASS a week: $30 per month postdated checks
Example - enrolling for only one subject such as flags, tambourine or dance only once a week: 

~ Add 2 more classes to attend for practice & instruction by becoming a member for a donation of $150.  for the year.  

2)  Semester enrollment:  $80 prepaid for 12 weeks semester
~ Add 2 more classes to attend for practice & instruction by becoming a member for a donation of $150. for the year. 
~
Total prepaid semester for 3 classes in subject of choice - $230.**  

1)  Monthly tuition for TWO CLASSES a week: $45 per month postdated checks
Example - enrolling for two subjects such as flags AND tambourine or dance only once a week: 

~ Add 2 more classes to attend for practice & instruction by becoming a member for a donation of $150.  for the year.  

2)  Semester enrollment:  $120 prepaid for 12 weeks semester
~ Add 2 more classes to attend for practice & instruction by becoming a member for a donation of $150. for the year. 
~
Total prepaid semester for 3 classes in subject of choice - $270.**  

1)  Monthly tuition for THREE CLASSES a week: $50 per month postdated checks
Example - enrolling for three subjects such as flags AND tambourine AND dance only once a week: 

~ Add 2 more classes to attend for practice & instruction by becoming a member for a donation of $150.  for the year.  

2)  Semester enrollment:  $135 prepaid for 12 weeks semester
~ Add 2 more classes to attend for practice & instruction by becoming a member for a donation of $150. for the year. 
~
Total prepaid semester for 3 classes in subject of choice - $285.**  

~ Family Discounts:  4 or more in same family:  $60 per month.
~ $135. prepaid for 12 week semester.  
~ Add 2 more classes to attend for practice & instruction by becoming a member for a donation of $150. for the year.

Total prepaid semester for 3 classes in subject of choice - $330.** 

 

** Membership Info:  Membership fee is once paid per family/per year. All family members enrolled in classes may use the membership card to attend extra classes for free. Good for one year from date of enrollment.  Card must be presented at classes.  

First time student enrollment fee of $25.

Checks payable to: Spirit of Excellence, Inc.  ($35 fee on any NSF or returned checks)

 

Queen Esther’s Finishing School program Tuition Summary:
Each session is 6 weeks long, one time a week for 1.5 hours. Extra practice classes and working on assignments and personal practice on visual poise and mentorship may be taken. These are included for free with Membership Enrollment. Each session includes a sixth "Bring a Friend Class".  Two bring a friend free sessions are included - to make a total of 12 weeks for the first two sessions.  
  1. Session tuition: $125.  paying one session at a time.  
  2. Yearly enrolment in Queen Esther’s Program = $800.

Membership adds on two extra practice classes per week—donation of  $150.

Membership allows attendance to attend extra classes at no additional charge.

  • Total year tuition with membership:  $950.

 Boy's Finishing Academy:

Tuition $125

Boy's Finishing Academy is a 6 week program - offered several times yearly.  Beginning September 2005.  Uniform must be worn.  (uniform consists of the SOE t-shirt $18.)

Health, appropriate behavior, table manners, conversation skills and respect are taught through drama and practical lessons.  Fine Arts and drumming techniques are some of the creative disciplines used to instill self esteem and Boy's leadership skills. 
Fitness and healthy food preparations are also part of this life building course.   

  

 

 

Fine Arts - Beginners - Intermediates and Advanced Courses

Tuesdays Beginner / Thursdays Intermediate & Advanced:
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm 

Tuition:  $125/6 weeks - includes all supplies

- mediums instructed in are acrylics, pencil, charcoal, soft oil pastels, commercial art techniques, and water colours.
- pre-enrollment interview necessary (bring in art work for interview)    


STUDENT ENROLLMENT INFORMATION:

It is necessary to set an appointment for an Parent/Student/Teacher Interview.  

This is done pre-booked for our Instructor/s  and School Director to meet with the potential student, or parent/s, child/children.  This gives an opportunity to tour Spirit of Excellence Facilities, see a sampling of all programs available, and for us to see what the child's/Student's interests are and put them into the appropriate class.  

 

Sessions consist of 6 weeks of classes.  Themes and lessons change every session.  
Semesters consist of 2 sessions, or 12 weeks of classes (approximately 3 calendar months).  
There are 6 - 7 sessions for an entire year.  


Creative music, sewing, fine arts, fitness and flag classes change levels of instruction every 12 weeks.

Classes are offered free to those of low income.  

Proof of statement from either Ontario Works, social assistance recipients or NCBS.
